Great American's Corporate Management Development Program is our accelerated leadership development program geared toward top-level graduates who desire to hone their leadership, communication and analytical skills. Our CMD trainees have the opportunity to learn about the insurance industry and experience Great American’s corporate culture. In addition to obtaining knowledge of individual business units and gaining the opportunity to be exposed to various functional and corporate areas, CMD trainees will also be exposed to management and leadership learning opportunities through various corporate training courses.

CMD trainees are expected to make significant contributions during their on-the-job training and participate in high-level projects to prepare them for future leadership responsibilities. All CMD trainees are assigned an executive mentor within their division to provide day-to-day guidance and insight on company business.  Additionally, trainees participate in regular meetings with a corporate mentor to discuss long-term growth opportunities within the company. Customized assignments may include 2 to 3 year assignments in up to three business units.

Current CMD trainees are working in Cincinnati, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, and Tulsa. Assignments have also taken trainees overseas to London and China.
